I am afraid that the late Malachi Martin was someone more known for his imagination than his accuracy... the failure of his prediction about Wormwood is evidence of that. To the best of my knowledge, as an astronomer at the Vatican who specializes in the study of trans-Neptunian planets, I can say with whatever authority I have that there is no "planet X" of the sort envisioned by those who are expecting the end of the world via some astronomical event.
Holy Scripture makes it clear that we do not know the day or the hour when the world, or our lives, will end. We should plan as if the future were certain, and live as if it were not!
